The nature of Enoch Bergsten’s work is exploratory. It is in constant motion. The outcome is
never known in advance, and he doesn’t attempt to control in any way what the artwork will, in fact,
look like. He rarely repeats themes and gestures that he already has gone through: "I don’t find it
interesting to dwell on solved problems, pictures that have already been seen."

Permanent elements in Enoch Bergsten’s work are simple and traditional equipment and an
understated colour range; figures, objects, and animals that appear to contain human features in
different ways and on the other hand, people whose essences reflect very difficult feelings,
concepts, and moods, thus appearing even inhuman.

Angry Candy consists of new and older drawings and paintings, from as early as 2008, until
today. Welcome to the opening on Thursday 16th January at 18–20!
